Julius was panting heavily by the time he neared the beach. His tongue hung out the side of his mouth as he gasped for air. He had promised Samantha he'd be there by sunset, and had no intentions of letting her down. His legs were carrying him as fast as they could, and if there was one thing a wolf could do, it was run. Things had been different since Julius had returned. First of all, he was still here, several weeks after returning. When he had first returned to society, he couldn't stand but a few days before returning to the woods. Somehow though, everytime he now tried to leave, he found himself thinking of Samantha. Always Samantha... His days were now spent working odd jobs here and there. The surrounding towns had no shortage of them. He chose tasks that others found physically demanding, even gruelingly difficult. It was all he could do, what with not even a high school education. Still, he excelled, having his werewolf strength and stamina to thank. The money was always coming, and made life all the sweeter. Especially considering that, since he didn't "technically" even exist, he didn't even have to waste money on things like taxes. Or a house, for that matter. He came to find the beach empty. Thankful for the lack of prying eyes, he transformed and changed into the clothes he kept in his russack. With that task accomplished, he sat in the sand and listened to the waves while awaiting Samantha's arrival...

Samantha walked down the empty streets of La Push, heading towards the beach. She cussed and swore under her breath every few seconds. She was supposed to be at the beach already, but her father had stopped her on her way out the door to interrogate her. Apparently he was concerned because she spent all of her time with Julius. Which wasn't true. Natasha and her had spent a little time together.
Her blue eyes lifted to look up at the sky yet again. She was soo late! She broke into a sprint and turned off at the beach. She slowed to a walk as she walked along the beach, looking for Julius. She felt horrible, being late. Finally she saw a lone dot down the beach a ways. She sighed in relief and walked faster. She couldn't wait to get there, to have Julius hug her and kiss her, to watch the sunset together. She was getting excited already.
Julius was sitting in the sand, watching the ocean, clearly waiting for her to get there. She walked up behind him and bent down, wrapping her arms around him and planting a kiss on his cheek. She knew she wouldn't be able to stay bent down like that long, but she didn't care. Hey. Was all she said, and it was enough. Her eyes once again found the sky and she sighed contently as she observed all the different colors that were starting to streak across the sky.

A smile appeared on Julius' face as Samantha kissed him. Her presence seemed to do that to him. To cheer him up. He wasn't used to being happy so often. Still, he'd come to enoy it. Which was making his decision all the easier. Overjoyed, Julius wrapped his arms around her before kissing her. When they broke away, he took a quick moment to study her eyes. So full of life. Happiness. Love. Eyes that he could loose himself in for all time.
"Samantha...", he said, wrapping an arm around her in a protective gesture. "These past few months have been, well, they've been absolutely amazing. At least, the time I've spent with you has. There was a time when I thought I didn't need anyone. Like I could spend the rest of my life away from the company of other people. Yet, you've showed me that that's not entirely true. I can't live without you, Samantha. When we're apart, I feel a terrible loneliness. A weight that I can't bare alone. Together, I feel as if my entire life is finally complete." He stopped, pausing only to gently stroke her back and kiss her cheek.
"Which is why I wanted to give you this." He fumbled in his pocket before pulling out the diamond ring he'd been carrying around for so long. For so many weeks, the idea had been rolling about in his head. Now, he finally summed up all his courage as he stared as deeply and solemnly as possible into her eyes.
"Samantha...will you marry me?"

As Julius kissed her, she felt a warmth deep in her chest that no one else could put there. He was the only one who had ever made her feel this way. He was the only would who would be able to. She returned his kiss and felt her face heat up as he wrapped an arm around her. He spoke, his eyes locked on hers, and told her how much she completed his life.
Samantha could hear her feelings for him reflected in Julius's words. It matched everything she felt and more. Then he told her he wanted to give her something, and Sam's head fell a little to the left. She was actually nervous. He dug around in his pocket for a moment and then pulled out something small. For some reason, Samantha found herself frowning as she impatiently waited. It wasn't her usual reaction, but she bit her bottom lip and waited.
A diamond ring. Julius smiled and stared deeply into her eyes, and asked her the one question that she had been eagerly waiting for since they first met. "Samantha...will you marry me?"
Samantha was absolutely stunned. A large lump had formed in her throat, making it hard to answer. Of coarse they both knew what she would say. Suddenly she found her vision very cloudy and realized that she was crying. Samantha squealed happily and threw her arms around his neck, holding him close. Yes! She exclaimed, Of coarse I'll marry you!

So many things raced through Julius' mind. She had agreed; she had said yes. Oh, was there ever a more poetic and glorious word in the enlish langauge. He thought not. Never would he be this happy. This was the shining moment in his life. But, oh, the thoughts he had. Where would they live. Getting a house wouldn't be easy, especially considering that as far as modern society was concerned, he didn't even exist. At least he had money, though. Without taxes or a currant house, he had been amazed at how much he had been able to throw together in such a short time. All atop the 10,000 he had collected when he made his return to modern life. Still, they'd need a home. And college. God lord, he knew she'd want to attend a college. And what if they had children at some point. So much... Yet, as he looked into her eyes, he knew that he was making the right decision. In fact, it was the only decision. The only option he could have ever considered. He grabbed her up in his arms, lifting her clear off her feet before kissing her. One of those magical, let-time-stop kisses that made everything right. Suddenly, he felt so very at ease.
"I love you, Samantha. You have no idea how happy you've made me."

Samantha could tell he was feeling exactly what she was feeling herself. Complete and utter joy. This was the happiest moment of her entire life and nothing could ruin it now. His green eyes locked on hers and she laughed out loud. She wiped the tears from her face and laughed again. She was finally going to marry Julius. That familiar warmth in her chest returned and she sighed contentedly. The only other thing that she wanted right at that very moment was Natasha. But then again, some things are meant to be private. But she did miss her.
Then Julius swept, literally swept her off of her feet and kissed her. He kissed her so passionately Samantha's heart seemed to stop beating. Everything stopped. Everything except for them. Nothing mattered anymore. Except the important things. School, money, parents... it didn't matter.
He pulled away and told her she had no idea how happy he was. That brought on a whole new round of tears. "I love you, Julius." She said, kissing him again. Samantha's fairy tale ending was finally happening. The prince of her dreams had just proposed, and now she was about to be Mrs. Julius Mitten. The thought thrilled her and she deepened her kiss, making every second count.
Then Samantha started thinking about what would happen after they got married. Of coarse they needed somewhere to live, since they couldn't live with her dad. She wouldn't mind the forest, since they were both wolves, but Samantha wanted children sometime, so that wouldn't work out so well. Who cares? Her mind told her. That was just it. Who did care? Sam would, later. Not now. She had other things to worry about, like kissing Julius right now.

Julius couldn't help but relax as he fell back into the sand, with Samantha still in his embrace. How could he not? His whole future now seemed to lie ahead of him. A future he intended to spend with the woman he loved.
"I guess there's alot that needs to be done now. Either way, I want you to know that this wedding is your's to do with however you please. I don't have family or friends to invite, or anything else for that matter. All I need is you..."
It was true. Sure, he had formed a pack. Natasha and Seth had become like a second family to him. But the girl in his arms was his world. His old traits of loniness would never cease, of that he was sure. He'd always try to venture off in hopes of finding solitude. It was just that, now, he'd seek solitude with his beloved Samantha by his side. It was these thoughts that stirred new feelings in him. He suddenly wish for nothing more than to transform. To run carefree with his love. To have her hear every thought, every emotion, that he held for her. He kissed her once more, before getting to his feet. He stuffed his trenchcoat in his russack. Then he turned to her, smiling his usual mischievous grin.
"Let's go somewhere" he said, removing his shirt. "Anywhere. Lets just run side by side and let the day be ours."

Samantha laughed freely as Julius fell back into the sand with her still in his arms. His words made her smile broaden as her mind started to wander. Who she would invite, the entire wedding plans. But then he said he had no family or friends to invite, and that saddened her a bit. She tried to grasp the idea of having no family or friends. It was a rather depressing thought, and she shoved it out of her mind for now. Of coarse her dad would be there, and her mom would have to fly in from Wisconsin.... And there was no doubt that Natasha would be her maid of honor, and Seth probably the best man. She didn't know if the wedding should take place outdoors or in a church. Either way, she didn't care. As long as she had that ring on her finger and Julius by her side.
Her thoughts were interrupted when Julius kissed her again. He smiled and stood up, taking off his coat and putting it away. He flashed Samantha's favorite smile and suggested that they go somewhere. A smile spread across her face as she watched him take his shirt off. "You mean night." She laughed, kissing him once more. She took off her own shirt and jeans, reaching down to put them in the sack that was tied around her ankle. She inhaled and removed her undergarments as well. It shouldn't matter if he saw her without clothes. They were getting married soon. But she knew she had never let him see her before she changed. She stood in front of him for a moment, feeling a little awkward, and then she smiled and changed. Within a few seconds, a pitch black wolf was standing there, waiting eagerly for Julius to change.

Julius shook his head, laughing at her statement. "Don't contradict me", he said in a playful tone. As she began to change, however, the poor boy nearly swallowed his tongue. He couldn't help it, of course. They still had yet to make love, something that had been on Julius' mind for awhile now. Not to mention, the slender beauty before him was stunning. How could he not stare? When she transformed, he knew it was his turn. There was a hesitation to the act. After all, she had yet to see him naked. Still, it was only fair. In one swift act, he removed his pants before slipping out of his boxers. He smiled as he stuffed his clothes into his pack, amused at being eyed by a wolf. After a moment, he began to change into his other form. His true form. He was more the wolf than the man he had just been. The thick hair and muscle that enveloped him was comforting; an old friend returning to him yet again. Finally complete, he turned to look at his wife. At his mate. From now on, he would keep his thoughts open to her. His mind would be hers, and she would feel everything he felt. Turning to her, his mind spoke aloud:
"Keep up...if you can, love." With that, he took off down the beach...

Samantha barked a laugh at his playful tone, taking a moment to enjoy the look on Julius's face right before she Changed. As he in turn undressed, Samantha couldn't tear her eyes away either. She let her tongue roll out of her mouth, panting a bit, making a joke. She loved the body that was standing in front of her, and he was all hers. He seemed to know the feeling. Then he changed, a black wolf taking over his form. Within a few seconds, the two ebony wolves stood facing each other.
Samantha's blood was racing. She was eager to start running. But as she stood in front of Julius, his thoughts and feelings crept into her mind and she closed her eyes and just listened. His thoughts about seeing her naked amused her, and made her feel loved and wanted. Every emotion that he felt was open to Samantha now, and she felt puny compared to the intensity of them. She opened her own mind to Julius, loving the opportunity to do this. She let every feeling she felt for him out, not forgetting anything.
"Keep up...if you can, love." He suddenly said, or in this case thought, and took off down the beach. Samantha laughed again and took off running, after her mate. She caught up to him and nudged him in the side as she passed. She would keep this up for a minute before she slowed. She kept going, loving the way the wind threw her fur everywhere. It was dark enough now; she raised her head and, still running, let out a howl. It lasted a few seconds, and then it dissolved as a whisper into the soft night air. She slowed a bit, to let Julius either keep up with her or pass her. Either way, she was elated to be running like this, along the beach, with her lover.

As her mind opened to him, Julius felt a new kind of warmth envelope him. Something he just wasn't used to. Her feelings for him were so, so comforting. Like a wool blanket on a cold winter's night, he took joy in them. Never before had he been so loved by another. In fact, he found himself thankful to be in his wolf form for an entirely new reason. Wolves couldn't cry. She was eager to run, it seemed, as she closed the distance between them. She nudged him as she brushed past, making Julius' spirit soar. As she pulled out in front of him, he noted on how fast she was. He was bigger, bulkier, and less built for running, it seemed. Still, he was a wolf, and could run like this for hours. He watched Samantha tipped her head back in a joyous howl. He'd heard such howls before. Back when the howl of a wolf was the only langauge he spoke. As she slowed for him, he pulled up beside her and howled as well. A long, low, deep howl that melted into the night. Together, they erupted into a joyous chorus that overtook the sounds in the darkness. A series of songs, each telling there love for one another. Julius slowed himself to a stop beside a rocky outcropping. It was there that fur melted away into soft flesh, and he once again took his human form. He turned his gaze upon the moon for a moment, before turning back to the black wolf beside him.
"Romantic setting, bathed in moonlight", he said, still undressed. "Secluded section of beach for just the two of us. I think that now is the "right time" that I spoke of, for us to be...together...."

Samantha would have smiled had she still been in her human form. Julius caught up to her and he broke out in howls as well. She listened to his first one, knowing she would have gotten goosebumps had she not been a wolf. Then, as his drifted to a sweet close, she thew her ebony head back and let another rip. Samantha and Julius howled as they ran, proclaiming their love for each other.
Then they came to a rocky area and Julius stopped, Samantha following suit. She watched him with curious eyes and was a little surprised to see him change. He stood before her, unclothed, and told her that it was the perfect time. Samantha's breathing stopped for a moment as she let that sink in. He had only spent the night a couple of days ago, and told her that it wasn't the right time. Now he was suggesting it. He had been right though. This was a perfect time for their first time. It was romantic and this area was secluded. It was perfect.
Samantha's breathing started up again and she barked a laugh before skin replaced fur. They stood facing each other, naked, bathed in moonlight. For Samantha, it was still a little awkward, but she was getting used to it. Her eyes traveled the length of him, before stopping at his eyes. Suddenly, she felt a little nervous. She had never done this before, and she didn't know what to expect. Natasha wouldn't tell her anything when she had done this with Seth, so Samantha was completely clueless. But there was one comforting fact: Julius had never done this either. They would explore this together, just the two of them.

Inside Julius lay a roller coaster of emotions. A deep lust for the naked beauty who stood before him. A powerful love for the girl of his dreams. All tinged with a sense of nervousness for his first time. Nervousness, and a certain amount of excitement. He held her in his arms as he kissed her, all while taking in everything. Every sight. Every curve. Every touch. It was intoxicating, to say the least. Never, in all this time, had he felt something so…so powerful. As they lay back to the ground, he tried to be as gentle as possible. He knew he would cause her pain, but he could only hope it was slight. Hoped it would pale in comparison to what they were sharing, at that moment. The feeling. The rhythm the two shared. All of it. Which was why he tried to go slowly. So that he wouldn’t miss a moment of this night. Oh, how he loved her. Was it so possible to love someone this much? To be willing to share one's self with another? As the couple moved with the rthym of the moment, bathed in moonlight, he couldn't help but believe so. It was when he looked into her eyes, however, that he was certain.

As Julius kissed her, Samantha's nervousness started to evaporate a little. She was confident that this would go perfectly, and after it was all over, they would love each other more. But was that possible? She already loved him as much as she could. He was her world, her everything. All she needed in life was him. He completed her life more than he knew. Even though he was open to all of her thoughts as a wolf, there was still a lot more that he didn't know. And Samantha wasn't sure if she could show it all to him. There was too much...
Samantha could tell he was trying to be gentle, as he knew he would cause her a little pain. She didn't know how much it would hurt, but she honestly didn't care. She let her hands travel down the length of his chest, admiring how perfect he was. And he was all hers. They fell back onto the ground and her nerves came back. They were really going to do it. He looked into her eyes and Samantha smiled. She knew that after this, it would hurt her to be away from him.
Her back arched with the pain, and a low groan escaped her lips. She almost welcomed it, marveling in the fact that she was now completely his. She had given him the one gift that she would never be able to give anyone else: her virginity. As the pain faded, Samantha started to feel the intensity of this. She growled in the back of her throat and crushed her lips to his, never wanting this night to end.

As Samantha brought her lips to his, Julius couldn't help but get caught up in the moment. It wasn't hard to do, as the two bodies moved to a rythm that was all there own. Two bodies, joined by one simple, lustful act. To call it magical was easily an understatement. The two began to speed up a bit. He could feel the climax coming. Every inch of his body could feel it. When the moment finally came, his whole body arched with electricity. So much pleasure, it was almost overwhelming. But with this new feeling came a sadness Julius hadn't expected. This moment, this first moment, was both here and gone in an instant. It was almost humbling, watching his first time fade from his life. The moment over, he lay beside Samantha, both spent and renewed. Saddened, and yet so completely overjoyed. He turned to her, wrapping her up in his arms and staring into her eyes. He had never found so much comfort in the eyes of another. They always seemed to tell of her love for him. The love of someone who’d do anything for him; who’d follow him anywhere. He felt the same way about her, and it was that thought that made him smile. In all his days, Julius had never felt so complete...
