Natasha climbed extended boulders that jutted out towards the billowing forest that seemed to grow darker everyday. She stared at the v-shaped edge and a flashback crossed her mind. A horrid one of the day she attempted to do some serious damage to herself. One where she also met Wolfenheart's sister. She traveled to the edge of the cliff and glanced below as her flashback grew more in-depth and more threatening. She opened her eyes as she recalled the sadness that came attached with the memory.
She went rigid for a lingering moment and inhaled slowly. She slowly lowered to the ground. She plotted her feet out in front of her thinning body, dangling them over the edge. Ever since the birth of her daughter, Anne, she'd lost quite a bit of weight from her intense midnight runs.
She could no longer feel any emotion. She seemed empty in some places that she couldn't really explain. She thought about Seth and how he satisfied her in many ways through their blessed marriage. Then her mind shifted to Wolfenheart and she felt tears slowly emerge to her eyes as one began flowing over the edge of her eyelid and slid down her cheek and off. The wind blew her hair back from her face softly. She felt a build-up of emotions emanating in her chest as though they were going to pounce out of her chest. She felt utter hatred towards Wolfenheart. She wondered why he still hasn't left her in peace, why his name lingers.
She gasps and closes her eyes as her nails dig into the dry earth. She was a happily married woman and need not worry about anything. Why was she still miserable over him. She needed someone who she hasn't told constantly over about Wolfenheart. She knew she loved and held Samantha near, but there was something missing. She could not find true happiness there. Seth, well, he was Natasha's mate. Natasha was naturally going to be attracted to him no matter how many years they spent together, even if that meant for the rest of eternity.
She desired for someone to utterly put aside her situation and just let her talk to them. She brought her knees to her chest and draped her arms around her legs and lowered her head to her knees and cried silently into them. There was a part of her that wanted to just cry endlessly until there was nothing left of her.

Samantha was in a rather good mood after the wonderful reunion she and Julius had had the past night. So while Julius was busy elsewhere, Sam decided to go for a hike. She didn't feel like changing, so she just walked up the cliffs and happily enjoyed the scenery. There was something missing though, the cliffs didn't give off a very happy feeling like they normally did. She felt a bit of sadness radiating off of them. She walked a little further and caught the scent of Natasha.
Sam frowned. Natasha hadn't been all to happy lately. Which is what confused Sam. Natasha had just given birth to a beautiful baby girl, and was happily married to Seth. It didn't add up right. The possibility of Wolfenheart occurred to Samantha, and she hoped that that wasn't it. She hated to see Natasha so sad about him. Sam knew she loved him deeply, and his death had brought on some major drama. And Sam did all she could to prevent that.
As she rounded a corner, Sam saw Natasha slumped over by a rocky wall. The slight shaking of her shoulders gave her tears away. Samantha ran to her best friend sister and wrapped her arms around her. She hated seeing her like this, and it bothered her. "Natasha, what's wrong, hun?" She whispered in her ear. She wouldn't pry the answer out of her, she would let it come. Natasha was obviously in some pain, and Sam respected that. As she hugged her, Sam noticed Natasha was very thin. A frown took over her face and she waited almost impatiently.

Natasha allowed more tears to flow from her eyes as she remained silent for a few moments, until she felt a warm arm curl around her. She had not heard anything because her mind was elsewhere. She flinched out of the arm quickly and rose to her feet to stare at Samantha. She breathed in deeply and quickly phased. Her snowy white coat erupted from within her and she sprinted away. She desired to be alone, without anyone. She needed the right person to converse with over this.
A streak of guilt slowly arose in her body and she slowed for a moment. She knew Samantha cared for her and loved her and wanted Natasha to be happy. At the same time, Samantha was not the right person to talk to. She needed to at least appologize to her sister. She changed her direction rounding a few trees and paced back to where Samantha was and had her tail slightly lowered then normal.
She peered around noticing that luckily no one had observed what just occured in her transformation. She quickly jumped the rocks and stood on all of her four paws. The small white wolf phased back to her human state. She had a very slim, tan body that now curved over the outline of her ribs a little.
She sighed as she stood before Samantha with the best gentle and least hurt expression she could put on. Yet, it quaverred. "Samantha, I cannot explain right now. I am sorry I ran without uttering a word to you. I love you so much." She slowly and quietly said to Samantha. "I just need to find the right person to talk to. I need someone who can clear up a few things for me. Don't follow me, please. I need to figure out things for myself." Natasha quickly phased back and turned swiftly and ran as fast and hard as she could.
If Samantha desired to catch up with her and stop her, Natasha would not do anything to Samantha, just merely changed direction. Samantha would have to literally tackle Natasha to even get a moment with her.

Surprise and shock filled Samantha as Natasha bolted up, changed, and bounded away. Before she could blink, Natasha was back, standing in front of her. Sam noted her very thin appearance and found she couldn't look away. She looked so fragile and breakable that tears welled up in Sam's eyes. Natasha apologized and then bolted off, telling her not to follow her. Then she was gone again.
This time, hurt and pain washed over Sam, making her dizzy. "Damn vertigo." She muttered as she looked around her. She didn't bother to stop the tears this time. They ran shamelessly down her pale face, dripping onto her shirt as they fell off her cheeks. She lowered herself to the ground, drawing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. How could Natasha feel that way? Sam wanted to do something for her friend, she felt so helpless sitting there, crying like a baby. Even though Natasha had just told her she loved her, Sam was feeling doubt about it.
She wanted to know what Natasha meant by clearing things up. It was starting to bother her, and she was almost determined to find out. But she saw the pain Natasha was in, so she wasn't going to follow her. But Sam couldn't help but feel like a lousy friend and she hated herself for it. The more she thought about it, the more depresses Sam got. A sob erupted from her chest and she buried her head in her arms. I look so silly, crying like this. She thought to herself, but she couldn't stop crying. There had to be something she could do to help, but she could think of nothing. She longed to follow, but she wouldn't, only because Natasha asked her not to.

It was odd. Julius had only been following Samantha at a distance. Far enough away that he could only hear her in this, his true form. He wasn't spying on her, just enjoyed keeping on eye on her. After all, he had grown to care for her so deeply. Yet it was here and now, however, that he found himself bounding after Natasha, instead. He couldn't help it. The pain in her words...it was heartbreaking. A little chilling, too. All he knew was that he had to help her. And in order to do so, he had to stop her. Speed was not an issue. One person transforms into a wolf for a weekend outing or midnight stroll. The other covers half of the Northwest and never changes back into a human. It wasn't hard to guess the faster of the two. As he caught up with her, he veered ahead and to his left, bringing himself right out in front of her. As she stopped and faced him, he stared deep into her eyes. So much pain and sorrow. He didn't know why, but he felt her pain. If he had been human, he'd have cryed for her. Sometimes, as he usually believed, being a wolf had it's advantages.
"Let me help you, Natasha...", his voice ringing through her head.

Natasha picked up the scent of Julius and tried to increase her speed and veer into a different direction. Her attempts failed as she found herself haulting and staring into his caring eyes with her wounded ones. She backed slightly as she tried to paint her expression with a lie, but it was useless. She collapsed as she whimpered as his words echoed through her head as her body shook and she began transforming into a human. What could be comparable to an electric bolt, ran up her spine as she transformed, her spine tingling painfully. She screamed out in pain as her body fully exposed itself as she brought her legs up to her chest.
Tears built up quickly and streamed down her face. She yelled, "WOLFENHEART! Come back. Wolfen.." She yelled as she shook with tears. She buries her head into the ground as her nails dig into the earth. She lay there for a few grieving moments before grabbing onto Julius's hand. "I need him back." She uttered through her tears. "I need him back." She repeated as she turned her head up to face him with bewildered and abandoned eyes as she tightens her hand around his hand. Closes her eyes as she lowers her head back to the ground.
She didn't know why, but Julius stopped her. She told herself she wasn't going to stop for anything or anyone earlier. She wondered why he got to her with five simple, calm words.

A soft wind blew past Samantha as she sat there, but she knew well enough to know that that breeze wasn't wind at all. She looked up and saw Julius's tail disappearing into the forest. What was he doing here? Not that Sam minded at all, but this was all happening too fast. She stood up and took a few steps, trying to listen for anything. Stupid! She thought, they were both in their other forms, so Sam wouldn't be able to hear anything.
But sure enough, Samantha heard a scream. Natasha's scream. Sam didn't care if Natasha had told her not to follow her, she needed to be over there. Especially since she had no idea what was going on. She took a few steps and then took off running. She didn't want to change just yet, so she kept going in human form. It took her a minute, but she found Natasha and Julius. And the scene frightened her.
Natasha was laying on the ground, crying. Julius stood next to her, still a black wolf. She looked up at Julius and frowned. Back at Natasha and felt her pain reflected in her own body. She wasn't about to get too close though. She felt the tears return, but refused to let them get the best of her. She knelt down and was going to wait for a minute for Natasha to calm down a bit. She knew that her last transformation had caused her pain. And she was going to be there to help Natasha through it.

Julius was in a rather tough position. Natasha had transformed. Should he stay as a wolf, he would be unable to communicate with her. Yet, he had failed to bring a change of clothes. Needless to say, this posed quite the dilema. Still, Natasha was a member of his pack, and he knew he had to help her through what he was going through. Slowly, his massive wolf body gave way to his frailer human form. He prayed no one would notice, but this was hardly the time to care about such things, anyway. Setting to work, he held Natasha in his arms, rocking her gently in hopes of calming her. Like a mother would with an upset child. And as he talked to her, it seemed to be working. "I know, I know you miss him. I only knew him for a short time. Yet, I could still see your feelings for him. But you have so much, now. A family. A pack. A best friend who's more like a sister to you. You have to focus on these, the shining gems of your life. Don't let the darkness of your past drag you down. You have to let it go, Natasha..."

Natasha's tears ran over her tan cheeks and turned into Julius. She heard his words of comfort and yet some of it still did not help. She could not get over this it seems. She needed to settle and her tears slowly faded as she was cradled in Julius' arms. It reminded her of her step mother's arms. She never had her mother hold her. She died before Natasha could even be held in her mother's arms. Natasha slowly let his words sink in more and picked out everything he stated in her life that contained special meaning. She considered these and came to a consensus that there was no reason left for her to be grieving over he long lost lover, Wolfenheart.
Natasha slowly turned her head out to look at him and wrapped her thin arms around him, constricting him for a moment and then released him and whispered, "Thank you." She slowly rose to her feet and then stared at Julius for a moment. He was fully exposed due to her. She looked away and at Samantha who had been weeping for her also. She did need to go, but she was willing to have company. She transformed and a small white wolf erupted and she stood on all four paws waiting for the others to tag along if they wanted. She needed to express that she could survive and get through this. She knew she worried Samantha quite a bit with the rapid weight loss. She was so grateful for Julius. He seemed to have calmed her the most every since the incident other than Seth.
