"I've moved around from Seattle to Texas to parts of Europe I can't even name, I've been in therapy for two years, and I've just fully gained movement of my right arm and you want me to see another shrink! I'm not something out of concrete angels, if I say I'm fine then I'm fine." James yelled, his eyes full of anger. His aunt was one of the few people he was comfortable enough to let his emotions show and he was furious. No more therapists, he knew what every single one of them said, it was hard enough living through what he'd been through once, but even thinking about it now created a lump in his throat. He felt guilty for a second as she replied to him in sign, he wasn't the only person who'd gone through a tough time, he was living with a mute aunt and yet she was probably one of the most caring people about him, but he was so sick of being watched by everyone and always being stared down and dealt with the way everyone thought he was supposed to.
"What? I can't hear you," he replied to her fast and furious hand motions. James grabbed his coat and walked out of the room, still fuming. He slammed the door on his way out as he walked onto the street and headed directly towards the woods. Maybe he'd get completely lost and could die up there in peace and just be left alone. No more people. Ever. He slipped his i-touch headphones into his ears and tried very hard to ignore everything as he walked into the dark forest, turning it up so he coudn't hear any of the noises around him.
He felt so angry, not the usual anger that he could supress and handle, but a different kind, a kind that just bubbled up inside of him until he let out a scream, this forest was always noisy and it didn't matter if he yelled. James had managed to startle some birds and they took flight in the trees as he ducked to be careful not to get hit by any. Nothing was ever the way he wanted it, he wished he has some place to just be alone, but all he had was a damn forest he could get lost in. He finally loosened the tension in his body enough to sit down against a tree, images and flashbacks of his past came flying back and he finally picked up a small pebble and threw it as hard as he can towards whatever was across from him. James didn't really care what it hit.

Isis stood perched against a tree and raised an eyebrow of curiosity when it came to the human that seemed to be throwing a small tantrum. She caught the rock easily and laughed loud enough for human ears to hear. She came walking down in her black high heals swiftly as her hair flew gracefully behind her. She came from behind and whispered in his ear while smirking. "Someone's frustrated." She said as she placed the rock in his hand and swiftly climbed the tree in a matter of a second and crossed her legs, playing with his head a bit.
She brushed her hands over her ripped jean skirt that came to rest mid-thigh. Her black tank top revealed a little mid-riff as she ran her fingers through her spiraling blond hair. She peered down at the man. "Up here." She said while smiling. She always enjoyed messing with a person's head and befuddling them.
Isis rarely ever truly became merely a friend with someone. It didn't bother her though. She has been accustomed to the idea for quite a bit of time. She inhaled his enthrawlling scent. She did not act on it though, it did not control her. She always promised herself that. This man was trapped either way. But she did not know yet how far she would go with her plan on either just completely killing him or just transforming him. This is where she eyed the boy, wondering if he could somehow affect her decision.

"I wish I was never born," James muttered before he heard a voice along the left side of his body and felt himself shiver. His headphones had just barely allowed him to hear the person's words and he pulled them off. Looking over his shoulder to see no one. He half expected the image of his father looming over him but saw nothing except the darkness of clouds overhead. Finally it clicked that the voice hadn't been male at all but rather female and rather amused. He'd never had flashbacks like that before who the hell was this?
Finally the voice spoke again and he looked up, staring into the eyes of a rather pretty woman. In a forest like this, he was definitely day dreaming or else he'd finally lost it and he was lying in a gutter somewhere imagining this whole encounter. That was also an option, and maybe the more likely one.
James gave a bit of a chuckle and smiled, "you're not real," he spoke with acrimony, "or you're crazy to be in a forest as it's getting dark in a place where it rains all the time, especially if you're trying to scare a man who's pretty much completely stronger than you..." His next words seemed to release some strain and spoke with far less tension. "Or else you're trying to escape like me... I'm James..." He finished, even if he was dreaming, it was better that way, he could talk to a dream and tell her anything then she'd just vanish. Though she seemed extremely forward as he awkwardly held out his hand to her, trying to relax his hand from lashing out at the world for who and what he was.

A flicker of a grin rose upon Isis's lips as she heard the man deny the reality of the situation. She breathed in his intoxicating scent that invaded her nostrils with every bare movement. The temptation to just sink her fangs into his weak flesh made her control decrease. She did not let it overpower her though as she stayed perched upon the branch. She reached her hand to clasp his as she shook it gently. Nothing in her nature was gentle, yet her actions did not come across as abnormal.
"Oh, me, alone, in the woods, there is nothing, but rather you should be more careful about the people who linger around you. Especially those you would least expect." She said with a ringing laugh that came intermittently during her speech. It was ludicrous when it came to what she was. She rose to her feet and gracefully jumped to land flat on her feet.
She released his hand as she turned from him for a brief moment considering something that caught her attention. She replayed the moment James first layed eyes on her. Lust lingered behind his eyes and a small smirk played across her lips before she turned on her heals effortlessly.
She pressed her body to his and backed him into the tree that stood behind him and connected her eyes with his. She inhaled his powerful scent that emanated from the body that was pressed against her skin. She pressed her lips to his as her eyes flashed a red. She shut her eyelids as she moved her lips against his carefully. Her cold lips and body diminished the heat that came radiating from his body. It became addictive like a drug. She always longed for warmth and when it disappeared in a moment, she saddened the tiniest bit.
She broke her inviting lips from his, leaving them hovering over his as she flashed her eyes open. Her control weakened a bit, but still was stronger on many levels as she continuously sniffed his scent nonchalantly. She traced his expression for every emotion and every response to arise.

The moment his hand brushed against hers and touched, it felt so much colder and a flash of dragging a dead body shot across his mind, he avoided flinching, but someone paying close enough attention would catch a difference in his movements and actions. James regained control as he noticed she never returned her name to him but he let it drop, a world full of nameless people left everyone as equals, of course, that probably wasn't what she meant in not giving her name.
"People don't linger around me," he replied flatly, he felt like a caged animal and it was obvious by the fire that burned in the back of his eyes. James felt as though he was being judged, and watched far closer than his father would. James easily watched her turn, the desire easily pushed aside as he fought a stronger urge to bolt in any direction, he couldn't get lost and he knew his way home at the moment, but for whatever reason, he just didn't want her to touch him again. He never wanted anyone to touch him again, but the only person who could was this nameless figure that stood before him.
Her body instantely reacted in a contrapositive and moved towards him until her skin was in contact with his clothing and instinctively he stepped back until there was no place else t step back to and he felt he was forcing himself to breathe. This had to be a device of his own imagination and he blinked once, hoping that when he opened his eyes she wouldn't be there.
The press of her lips against his happened before his mind could even think and his stomach tightened with the feel of her cold lips. He felt almost frozen for the instant in which she toyed with him, he'd never been kissed by anyone before, and this wasn't his idea of a good first. Nothing was his idea of a good first and he felt almost empty when she pulled away. I anything was right, it was that he'd kissed someone colder than ice, though he hadn't actually kissed, she had.
James stared into her eyes with a mixture of fear, anger and lust floating in his eyes. He wasn't going to deny that she was drop dead gorgeous, but she was scarily forward and wildly close. Did she know she'd kissed a man who'd helped murder dozens of people? Did she even care? James instantely averted her gaze, embarassed of his past. There was a reason he never wished t kiss anyone, because everyone he knew would either eventually fear him or turn on him and he guessed she was the latter. "You shouldn't kiss me." He replied flatly, gaining his composure as he looked into her eyes and pushed out all thoughts of Texas, his gaze now hard and cold with a hidden emotion in the background.

Isis sensed discomfort from the man that was pinned in between her body and the tree. She figured it was the temperature of her skin. His words were not uncommon to her. She did grit her teeth ever so slightly that it was unnoticeable. This was not because she hadn't experienced the situation before, it was more or less the fact that it made her plans change and her job a bit more brutal. She remained patient with James and backed away from him. She saw his expression and it showed he just wanted to leave from her site.
She would not allow him to leave though, not perfectly alive. She considered pushing this farther than she was intending. "I am a very independent woman, James. I can see that obviously something of your past or present has caused you to think that you are not worthy of me or any woman for that matter. I can also see you are somewhat deadly afraid of what you felt." She said in a calm voice as though she were not mad, but explaining. She was giving him one more chance to follow easily.
She dropped her gaze for a mere second and lifted it back to him. "My name is Isis, Isis Midnight." She said thinking in the back of her brain of her plan and organizing it as she went along. One flaw in her power to control her beautiful appearance, was she could not control her body temperature. "My apologies for moving too fast." She lied as she stared him in the eyes with what seemed actually an apologetic expression. Deep down, utter hatred for his resistance filled her heart.
If she was not careful, did not have blood soon enough, her true appearance would be exposed. In that case, he would no longer be a man, he would be a vampire. She knew that the volturi made it completely clear that their identity must be kept hidden from the outside world. Still, it was common sense. The volturi always made their efforts to capture her and make her their own. She denied them every chance they took.

As she moved back, James could feel his tense muscles begin to relax and his shoulders return to a level below his ears. Why would any woman kiss him? Sure, he didn't deserve it, but he also made sure it didn't happen. Now that it had, his mind was having difficulty concentrating and replayed the event calmly. She was the first person who'd ever shown intimacy, he'd never been kissed. Maybe by his mother, but he couldn't even remember her face, how was he supposed to remember anything else? People never came within a mile of him, and those who knew about him never came within a few. She was coming onto the wrong person.
As her words stripped him bare and revealed his thoughts, his eyes burned with anger, why did everyone try to analyze him? why did everyone make him remember everything? Then he caught her name, a rather uncommon one but it rolled off the tongue nicely if you tried hard enough. Names were personal for most people, they also said alot about a person's parents. A name chosen for a child was as meaningful as the way she kept herself and the aire she had when she moved and walked, it was thoroughly graceful and in a way, cat-like.
The anger vanished as quickly as it came and he allowed silence to fill the space for a long while before taking in a breath and speaking, "I'm not worthy of girls. You're right," James scoffed, taking a careful step to try and distance the space between himself and herself. "What happened in my past is my buisness and I'll deal with it the way I know how." It was obvious James held all the qualities to be a romantic man, or even just a good partner, but the fact he held himself the way he did made it impossible for him to reach his full potential in any way shape or form, but the fact it was there was curious.
He took a step sideways for a second, it did not distance her or him at all from eachother but simply moved him to an area were there was space for him to back up if he feared he needed it. James stared into her eyes, she seemed rather pretty, and if he believed he had a chance, or wanted one, he'd have taken it the moment she'd kissed him. James was nothing but a pathetic excuse for an old dog who'd been kicked too many times as a puppy. "They say time heals all wounds but it doesn't. I'd need more than a human life to get over this. And even then I might not make it." James's eyes fell to her lips for a second, the lust, the desire was definitely there, but he felt no trust. "Quid pro quo." James said, he knew the word very well but never used it, it was a latin based term meaning something for something. At least it was worth giving her a chance. But she had to start if she were able to tell him something important, he might do the same.

A smile danced on her thin and lucious lips as she gazed back into his eyes as he slowly moved to the side where he could run if he needed to. What good would that do him? She was an extremely talented, yet brutal vampire. She knew he'd take a step towards his extra chance instead of just running. She backed up and took her seat on a rock, crossing her legs, but never taking her eyes off of him. She listened to him and how the defensiveness evaded his tone.
She thought about the words he had just spoken. She knew he was expecting her to open up a bit. Her thin lips widened into a small grin. She knew the ultimate secret she could definately utter, but she wouldn't dare, not yet anyways. "James, my family background comes from Egypt. Very long line of noble figures. You would be suprised some of the things I have seen while being alive. Not your typical girl exactly. Even been involved in a few of those very horrible events." She explained in a calm tone without any suspicion of lying even though she was. She was making all of this up.
"Now, what makes you so sure that no other woman would want you?" She asked as curiosity flooded her tone. She made a very convincing and intriguing actress. There was always something about her that caught attention. Always something, that even if her skin remained cold to the touch, she captured them.

James stared at her defensively his body language showing more like he was expecting a fight then preparation to run. He watched her speak and had trouble believing her. Isis's skin color appeared more like that of a tanned American then the olive skin belonging to the Egyptians. She also held little to no accent making him think her a red blooded American.
He stared into her eyes, whether he was doubtful other words or not, he never showed it. James could've easily mimicked her. Told hercue came from Ireland when he was young and had a happy childhood and just completely ignore her question but it would be so much easier to just scare her by telling the truth. Then she'd leave him alone and never kiss him. "Do you ever watch CSI? Or Forensics or whatever? They slwsys talk about serial killers and the like. I was one of them. I helped my dad kill 14 males and 26 females. I have the scars to prove it. Still think you wanna kiss me?"
It was a half truth but the piece she was looking for. Chances were she wouldn't believe him. But that was not his problem, he had the scars to prove every single one if his words. "Your turn, Isis." James told her. Even if she did believe him, it was close to impossible to top what James had just said.

Isis stared at his challenging expression as though he had won this little game of his. She had something to top off every single thing he said. She did firstly want to answer his endearing question. "Doesn't matter to me James. Want to know why?" She asked rhetorically in a playful tone that became flooded with pride of what she was. She rose within a flash and appeared behind him. She rested her hand on his shoulder and brushed one finger across his back as she walked around casually in a cat-like fashion. She tipped her head the slightest bit to his ear and whispered, "I am a vampire."
She broke the rules in her actions on so many levels. She gripped his shoulder as she faced him and her eyes flashed red. He wouldn't be able to run, she now has him in her clutches as she always did. "Want to run from me? Try." She said releasing his shoulder and stared into his eyes with her blood shot eyes. She was still stunningly beautiful. She was also cruel, she liked to torment her prey until it created boredom for herself. She brushed her tongue over her canines inside of her mouth as a smile played on her red lips.
She needed to push this farther by her standards and stepped one foot forward and breathed cold air over his neck and pressed her canines into his skin. Everything became so tempting and so difficult to control. His pulse radiated at the pressure points created from her teeth. The warmth and flowing blood running through his veins flourished the scent to allude her senses. Her jaw enclosed on James skin and she grabbed his head and strained his neck a bit as she swallowed the blood and the venom slowly seeped into his blood.
Her thirst was like a never ending desire. She continued allowing the blood trickled down her throat until she had James on the ground and released his neck and gazed into the eyes of her victim. She whispered, "You were wrong James."

James watched her, carefully. She obviously worried him. And the moment she spoke and vanished, he thought this was all over and she would be gone forever and he'd dreamed up the whole incident, but cold fingers brushed against his back and she whispered words into his ear. Hard to believe words, next thing you know she'd be showing him Narnia and flying away on a broomstick with her flying monkeys following her.
Isis walked in front of him and he stared at her carefully. If he believed her, he was screwed, and if he didn't, she was just as crazy as him and that suited himself. But of course nothing was that easy, before he could react Isis had sunk her fangs deep into his throat and his body numbed and burned simultaneously. This definitely wasn't Kansas anymore, Isis had pierced his jugular vein and he'd bleed out with her drinking his blood. He'd seen a human drink blood before, he'd done it, he'd tasted human flesh and done much worse in his past, but it took a strong stomach for a human to keep down things like blood, especially in large quantities and a jugular was a very large quantity of blood.
She discarded him like a rag and he didn't even attempt to try and live. This was what death felt like. Blood ran from his neck like nobody's buisness and there was too much of a loss to do anything now, he knew exactly what happened after a person lost too much blood. Of all the people to kill him, and it was just a girl, it wasn't very relevent at this point, James was just focusing on trying not to scream as loud as he could, though it hurt to move.

Selena was out for a small hunting trip before she would have to head back to Forks for her friend's party. There were going to be a lot of humans there, and the last thing Selena wanted to do was lose her control. She easily tracked down a few deer and drank her fill when her powerful nose caught the smell of something. Human blood. At first Selena dismissed it, but then she caught the scent of another vampire, and a frown took over her features.
Listening closely, she could hear a quiet murmur of the vampire. It was female, and although Selena couldn't make out words, she could tell that this wasn't good. She took off in the direction of the human and vampire, not letting anything distract her from this. When she broke through a grouping of trees, her golden eyes fell on a rather attractive female, a vampire, leaning over the fallen body of a human male. Oh no.
Selena took a few steps and saw that the female had bit him, in the neck. Actually, the jugular. Selena cringed at the alluring smell, but closed her eyes and stopped breathing. She couldn't lose herself here. This human needed her help if he had any chance of staying human. With a snarl, she sprang at the female and knocked her to the ground. What the hell did you do?! She screamed in her face. But it occurred to her just then that this wasn't a vegetarian vampire. With a sigh, Selena pushed herself off the female and ran to the human.
He had already lost a lot of blood, and by now the venom had probably spread a great deal. She inspected the wound and felt herself frowning. It's okay, you'll be fine. She whispered to him. She knew she didn't have much of a chance, but if she wanted to save him, she would have to act quickly. She could see where the venom was spreading, and it was all throughout his neck and was working it's way to his face. Soon enough it would be at his heart, and he would be changed. She was able to fix the bit, but she couldn't stop the venom now. Even if she tried to suck it out, she would either kill him because she wouldn't be able to stop or she wouldn't be able to get it all out. She was so lost....

A growl rolled deep in her chest as her eyes burned into the back of the vegetarian vampire's head. She rose to her feet and plunged her foot into the vampire's stomach sending the small vampire flying further back into the forest. She turned on her heals and bent low to the ground near James and ran her fingers across the pulse point of his human body. The heart rate was fading quickly. He was completely trapped as she intended. She rose to her feet and headed in the direction of the vegetarian vampire. Her long brown hair whipped behind her as her eyes filled with furry. She grabbed the vampire by the throat. "Don't you know who you are dealing with you powerless idiot." She growled through her teeth and threw the vampire against a tree. "You are a complete waste of my time, you know that? Every single vampire like you." She turned and disappeared quickly heading as fast as she could to her home.
She should have torn the vampire to shreds, but it was a waste of time and energy. She thought carefully about James and after he becomes a full-fledged newborn. He would probably come after her and get revenge. She knew she could easily defend herself against the newborn, but usually they were more lethal. She has endangered herself. If she has one breaking point against him, there would be consequences and she dreaded them. Her torture only lasted enough to appease and entertain her for a moment. Then something always spoiled her fun.
She came upon a hidden cottage that had purple vines running up the sides and she entered her house and slipped into her room where she would be staying for a bit and think over the possibilities.

Before Selena could say anything else to either one of them, the female had her around the neck. It didn't matter; Selena didn't need to breathe. But if this vampire decided to kill her, well then that would just suck. But instead, the female threw Selena against a tree and screamed at her. Oh, was that supposed to hurt her feelings? Well, if it was, it was a very lousy bash. She watched the female sprint away, probably to wherever she lived. Selena sighed and rushed again to the human's side.
There was nothing she could do anymore. The venom was spreading too rapidly, and Selena would kill him if she tried to suck it back out. The only thing she could do would be to wait there until the human was changed into a vampire. So about three days. Selena really had nothing else to do anyway, so she wouldn't mind staying there. She reached out and lightly touched the bite mark, watching as it scabbed over and healed up. His skin was flaming hot, as the venom had already spread through his neck.
It probably wouldn't be best to leave him out here, so Selena considered where she could move him. Her house, she could take care of him there. Hospital would be stupid, since humans aren't allowed to know about vampires. Going with her house idea, she brushed a strand of hair out of his face and frowned. Um... She said, wishing she knew his name. Her last ditch effort was to find some identification on him. She knew that calling people by their first name usually calmed them down a little bit when they were in a scary situation, and she could imagine that this was one. She reached into his pockets, trying to find something. She pulled out a wallet. Opening it up, she looked through the contents and found a name. James Grimley.
She closed the wallet and put it back in his pocket. James? She asked gently, James can you hear me? Squeeze my hand if you can hear me, if you can. She said, slipping her hand into his. She remembered her own conversion, and there was no one there to help her through it. If this was anything like her own changing, James might appreciate this.

James' whole body seemed to burn everywhere, but it hurt the most in his chest near his left pectoral muscle. He ground his teeth together, he should have been dead by now but it only hurt more as he moved his body slightly and squeezed her hand, had she been human, he would have most likely broken it.
His body was almost dying with his mind still turned on. James felt himself forcing himself to breath, even being set on fire was not this painful, he clawed at his hoodie as he let out a painful scream. If he could come up with a conscious thought it would be to have this girl put him out of his misery and simply murder him right here, to make it all stop. Pain was one thing, this was another.
James felt as though time had slown down to a crawl as he lost track of where he was. He knew time was passing, every single one of those moments was as painful as the next and it only got worse from there.
Eventually, the pain stopped and vanished and James sat up from where he'd been lying. He was just so happy it was over. There was really nothing that could be compared to this. He had sat up faster than he thought capable, but really, he'd accept anything at this point in time. James' careful eyes scanned the are in which he was located and he gently ran a hand against his face. He was hungry, but he knew not for what. At least for now it was weak enough to ignore, "what's going on?" James asked to no one in particular.
