Selenacouldn't help but smile as he squeezed her hand. Even for a human, it was very weak. She could only imagine how badly it hurt. She couldn't remember much of her conversion, only that it hurt more than anything she had ever felt. Like she was being burned from the inside and there was no way to put it out. She shuddered at the memory and pushed it from her mind. Her concentration was on James now.
There was really no way to get him to do anything any more. It probably hurt to move anyway. She would just have to let him lay here. Then he writhed and screamed, and Selena winced. She could easily take him out of his misery, but that was against everything she had ever worked for. And judging how his heart was beating, it was almost over anyway. It accelerated a dangerous amount, signaling the end. He already looked different since she first saw him. His skin was definately paler and he had taken on the vampire look.
She hardly noticed, but when she looked down, she realized she was still holding his hand. Oh well. His heart sputtered and then stopped beating. It thumped once more and then it quieted. Selena held her breath and let his hand go. James sat up and his eyes scanned the area. She noticed his irises were a deep red. Yup, he was definately a vampire. What happened? He asked, and it didn't seem like he was addressing her. She chose her words carefully, not wanting to scare him at all.
You're a vampire, James. She whispered to him, wondering about his reaction and his thirst. She would help him through his first few hours of being a vampire, and then she would leave if he wanted her to.

James jumped as a voice whispered back at him, he stared into her eyes quickly began trying to figure this all out. A vampire? James thought to himself as his mind processed the information and the most recents incidents he'd gone through. It certainly fits the plot... but there's just as much chance of it being true as there is the fact I've lost all my screws. His eyes fell on her and he studied her features carefully, trying to find some form of a hint that what she said was true or false. After tonight, he was willing to consider anything. Was it even tonight anymore? Things had certainly changed and James wasn't sure how much.
"Do you have a name?" James asked, he didn't want to know complicated things, just focus on small things. Maybe when his hunger was less of a distraction and his thoughts were less cluttered, he'd be able to get somewhere. He tried to fit the pieces of this bizarre puzzle together, this was nothing like math. His analytical brain could handle things like that, but after the farm, his mind didn't work the way it should. No normal human beings' mind would work properly after that whole incident.
"I-I'm sorry, I just... I'm just a little confused and..." He trailed off, it was obvious his malaise and unease ever present in the way he spoke, not sure whether to be polite or begin demanding questions like an angry person would. James took in a shaky breath as he tried again. "So I'm a vampire, the freaky woman with the red eyes bit me on the neck, and you... where do you fit in? I jus--" James thought out loud. None of this made sense because none of it was real, he thought as he finally stood up and began pacing. Vampires weren't real, they were just a myth. But that pain, it had been so real, so vivd. The pain must have been real, he couldn't have even imagined it being anything less than... real. James swallowed, all the paths lead to the same conclusion, this brunette was telling the truth.

Selena was actually surprised he wasn't thirstier. Her first moments as a vampire were absolute torture. She was so thirsty... Oh well. He studied her for a minute, and she managed a small smile. Then he asked her if she had a name. Her smile widened and she nodded. "Selena." She said simply. Selena could see that he was struggling with the truth of the matter, and whether he believed it or not. He started wondering out loud, mostly questions, but Selena tilted her head.
He asked where she fit into to the whole thing, and Selena figured she'd better explain everything. Since he had obviously had no knowledge or experience with vampires. She swept her hand through her dark hair, trying to think of where to start.
"Well," She started, crossing her legs beneath her. "Yes. The female who bit you was a vampire. A pretty lethal one at that. She feeds on humans, that's why she has red eyes. I, as well, am a vampire. But I live on animal blood, that's why my eyes are golden. You, as a newborn, have red eyes. That will change if you follow the same... diet I'm on. You can drink either animal or human blood, but human blood is a lot more appetizing. I'm willing to help you, to answer all of your questions, but you must be thirsty, right?"
She frowned, realizing she was babbling. She folded her hands in her lap as she watched him pace, wondering what she could do to help him with this new transformation.

James nodded to her name. She’d already known his so telling her would completely pointless. It’s not like he was very good at manners to begin with, but that didn’t mean he didn’t try. He angrily pulled back and punched the nearest thing he saw, which turned out to be a poor, unwitting tree. It made a very loud cracking noise as James’ eyes widened at the damage. He took a few steps back and looked at his fist, there was no damage, just a bit of dust from the connection. he turned swiftly to face Selena, his eyes asking questions more than his mouth.
He knew she was right. The new vampire’s eyes fell to the ground, looking at anything but her, she should have just killed him. “I’m not very good,” James tried to explain, “with people on any sort of level.” It really wasn’t much of an explanation, but now he had at least warned her, because he knew eventually he’d end up getting mad at her if she stuck around him. “Umm, okay… what do we do about 'our diet' then?" He asked, he'd already done some pretty stupid things in his human life, this one wouldn't be much different, but there were definitely ideas, stirring in the back of his intelligent mind.
James tried to think of some kind of question to ask her, but none came to mind. He wasn't exactly the most talkative person on this planet. Maybe she would invoke a conversation and then he might find some questions from there. It didn't seem that hard, he was very dangerous, that was what he had for guidelines so far. He just wished he could find some way to creat synthetic blood. That way he would never have to hurt anyone but never have to go thirsty. He was smart enough to pull it off, but James had neither the supplies, nor the funding for such an inquest, if he really wanted blood, he could just go to Seattle and steal a little bit from all the hospitals. No one would be injured or killed in the process and it would be safe. At this point, injuring or killing someone was a task he was used to. James finally returned to the real world as he looked at her, "do you have a place to stay?" He asked. The question made sense, but it neither fit with his train of thought nor with anything they were talking about.

So many questions, and Selena was still unsure of where to start. First he had told her that he wasn't good with people, which Selena could understand, then he asked about the diet and then asked her if she had a place to stay. And on top of that, he had punched a tree. He must have been freaking out or something.
Selena stood up, walking closer to him. She gave him a small smile and nodded as she talked. "Yes, I have a place to stay. We can talk there. I have some...blood there as well, in case you want it. And, in case you were wondering when you punched the tree, you're fairly strong. Nothing can cause you any physical damage except other vampires and werewolves. She realized then that he probably had no idea about werewolves being real. She would have to explain that too.
She turned and walked forward a few steps, stopped when she was a few feet away from him. She turned to look at him, her eyebrows pushing together. "Well, let's go. Try to keep up with me, if you can." And then she started running. She didn't have to turn to see if he was following her; Selena could easily hear and smell him. She just hoped that she would be able to help him. She had never educated another vampire, and she hardly had any friends besides, human or vampire.
Selena reached her house, running inside and leaving the front door open. She turned to face the door, waiting patiently.
occ. okay, i'll start a new thread for them and PM you the link when i'm done
