Samantha sat on her bed, combing through her damp hair. She and Julius had decided to give each other a little time to get ready because they were about to tell Natasha and probably her father about their engagement. She was a little nervous, but they couldn't not tell them. She knew Natasha would be happy for them, but she couldn't say the same for her father. He never exactly told her his opinion of Julius, so she wasn't sure of what to expect.
Samantha turned to look out her window, a sigh escaping her lips. All she had been thinking about during the day was their night together. It had been everything she wanted and more, and in truth, she was glad they had waited. She let her brush drop from her hands as she fingered the beautiful ring on her left hand. She was having a hard time believing it was really going to happen. It was the sort of thing that was in fairy tales, the sort of thing that never happened to her. But deep down, she knew it was very real and there was nothing that could mess it up.
Sam stood and went to her mirror, quickly brushing on some mascara and eyeliner. She didn't want to look like she'd been out all night, even if she had been. Shrugging at her appearance, she turned and walked out her door, skipping down the stairs and heading into the living room to wait for Natasha and Julius to get here. She paused in the doorway, a slight blush creeping up her face. This had been the location of their first kiss. A goofy grin plastered to her face, she walked to the couch and sank down into the cushions. Her heart was hammering in her chest and her stomach was doing flip-flops as she waited. She folded her clammy hands in her lap and tried to calm down.

Julius made his way to Samantha's through the woods at a somewhat brisk clip. He was appalled by how slow he traveled through these woods on two legs. Still, it was his only option. Keeping his clothing looking decent was hard enough in the wilderness. Always having to wash them at Samantha’s and keep them in waterproof storage bags. He wasn’t about to stuff them into his travel pack. He was on his way to Samantha’s. As best as he could figure, she planned on telling everyone about there engagement. Engagement. The very word sparked new ideas within his mind. A wife. A family. A little white picket fence in the middle of suburbia. Ok, so that last part wasn’t him, but who knew? It could be. Someday... Still, there was a lot to consider. How her father would take it was one thing. Normally, Julius didn’t care about such things. But he knew how Samantha loved her father, so he suddenly found himself deeply concerned over the man’s opinion. Not to mention, there was Natasha. The two were practically sisters; if any opinion mattered, it was hers. Certain that his mind could continue on like this forever, he sighed contently as Samantha's house came into view. Making his way to the front, he rapped upon the door with his knuckles, all while holding his breath...

Samantha was started to let her mind wander as she waited, not really paying attention to what she was thinking about. It changed so quickly. First it was her and Julius, then she was imagining the wedding, then children and then... Her thoughts were interrupted when her father walked in the door, smiling at her. Hey, Kiddo. When's Julius getting here? He asked and Sam forced a smile. She knew her father liked Julius, he was always smiling when he was around and just about himself. But she wasn't entirely sure what his opinion would be about marriage. "Um... Soon. I'm not sure." She said and her dad nodded. Then he took in her tense pose and the distressed look in her eyes and his smile vanished. Are you alright, Sam? He asked, coming to sit beside her on the couch.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little anxious." She lied. She was definately not fine, but she was anxious. Dad leaned over and kissed her gently on the forehead. Alright... I'll be in the kitchen then. She nodded as her dad left and she sighed. Where was he? Then, as if on cue, there was a knock at the door. Her heart broke into a sprint and she jumped up, heading for the door. She pulled it open a little too fast and nearly knocked herself off her feet. There stood Julius, looking as perfect as ever. A relieved smile spread across her face and she hugged him, her lips finding his easily.

Natasha quickly walked throughout her house and glanced up at the time. She was going to be late if she didn't hurry out the door. She traveled into her room and her eyes stared at Seth who was laying on the bed. "I am going to be late if I don't get out of the house. I am running late already." She said as she glanced at the clock on her bed-side table. One minutes ticked passed the seven pm mark. She quickly ran her hands into her dresser and pulled out her favorite pair of jeans that frayed at the ends of the pant legs. She picked out a white shirt that buttoned up in the front. She quickly grabbed a white lacy tank top to go underneath. She quickly tore off her pajamas and clothed herself in her new outfit. The lace at the edge of the shirt fell just above her jeans perfectly as a few of the buttons stayed undone towards the top and bottom.
She quickly gravitated to Seth's side and pressed her lips to his. She then wandered to the door. "Love you and see you soon dear." She said as he called back with a similar response. She traveled through the forest, knowing where Samantha's house was. After a bit of walking, her eyes fell upon Julius standing in the doorframe of the entrance to Samantha's house.
A smile grew upon Natasha's face and she took long strides running until she followed Julius. "Samantha!" She squealed as she nearly pummeled Julius to get to her best friend. Her arms ran around her tightly and she smiled. Natasha's body had grown a bit healthier since their last meeting.

Just as Samantha was about to pull away, a familiar squeal sounded behind them. Samantha! Natasha crashed into Julius, trying to get to her. A rush of heat hit Samantha as she smiled at her best friend. The past few times she had seen Natasha, she had been crying and losing weight and she wasn't really there. Now, however, it was just like it used to be. Samantha returned her hug and felt tears spring to her eyes. Natasha! She exclaimed happily. God how she missed her!
As she hugged her, she noted that her health had improved. Samantha sighed quietly, happy that Natasha seemed to have gotten better. God I've missed you!
She said, giving her another squeeze. She pulled Natasha back to arms length and smiled at her, absolutely elated to see her. Her aqua eyes flicked to Julius and her smile widened. She knew Natasha would be happy for them, there was no doubt. She looked back at Natasha and hugged her again quickly before she turned and walked in. Come on in, guys. She said, leading the way to the living room. She motioned for them to make themselves at home and rounded the corner to the kitchen. Dad wasn't there. She walked to the bathroom door and knocked lightly. Dad, they're here! She called softly through the door. Um.... okay, I'll be right out, dear. She laughed once and walked back to the living room, making her way to Julius' side and grasping his hand firmly. She needed his support right now.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Julius smiled to himself as Samantha and Natasha embraced each other. They were so close, and yet, had been seperated for so long. He had never considered himself sensitive to such things; however, he couldn’t help but feel his heart warm of the sight before him. That warm feeling was quickly replaced though, by something that seemed akin to fear. Perhaps it was hearing Samantha’s father. Actually, he was certain of it. He honestly had no idea how the man would react to there lates plans. He was sure teenage marriage was something a parent might frown upon. Of course, he wasn’t sure; he had almost begun to forget those last memories of his own folks. Still, it probably wouldn’t be easy convincing her father that this was the best possible option for the two of them. But Julius loved Samantha. He loved her with all his heart; never before had he felt such a feeling for another. It was obvious that the two had imprinted upon each other. Without the one, there would be no life without the other. It was rare these days, to know such a love. To be absolutely certain that there would always be someone beside you, for the rest of your life. He smiled. This thought seemed to melt away whatever fear had overcome him. When Samantha stood beside him, he intertwined his fingers with hers, feeling it slip away completely…

Natasha took a seat on the dark red couch as her eyes stay fixed on Samantha and Julius. Something about them seemed odd almost. Her eyes ran to their intertwined fingers and she thought carefully. She thought about their expressions, their grasping of each others hands, and her eyes scanned over Samantha. Something had dramatically took a turn in their relationship. Samantha seemed almost nervous and anxious about something. Natasha's eyes fell as something glimmered among her sister's left hand. A smile lit her face as she knew what she was invited here for.
They are so perfect for each other. She couldn't see a better man for Samantha. She knew Julius would keep her safe and love her endlessly. She couldn't help but think that it was about time that Julius purpose anyways. They had been together for so long already. She could see Julius come out of his nervous state as he shared his time with Samantha. Now Samantha on the other hand was a bit nervous. Natasha knew it was Samantha's father that they were worrying about. She was also pretty sure that her father was going to be thrilled to see those two become so happy together.
She desired for Seth to be here so much. She knew he was tired though. Ever since she made a turn around, Seth became a bit less worried about her.
"How have you two been? I haven't talked with either of you for so long." She asked them both, her eyes gazing at the couple before her.

Samantha gave Julius' hand a squeeze before smiling at Natasha. With a smug grin, she nodded. "We've been great." She didn't bother mentioning their previous night; no need to. Natasha had a look that told Samantha she knew what was going on. Before anyone said anything else, her dad walked into the living room and smiled at the two guests. Hello Julius, Natasha. He greeted them warmly. Samantha felt her stomach flip-flop again as she looked at her father's smiling face. She hadn't talked to her dad about Julius that much, but she was sure he knew about them imprinting. If he didn't, well then he was really oblivious.
She took a deep breath and pulled a smile. With a sideways glance at Julius, she motioned for her dad to sit down. Um... dad. Why don't you sit down? Julius and I have something to tell you...
She said nervously, taking a step closer to Julius. She needed to be as close as she could get. He was her support right now. She looked up at Julius and held back from kissing him. Her dad had made it clear that that sort of affection made him uncomfortable. Julius seemed a bit nervous as well. She looked at her dad and he had turned to stone. You're not pregnant, are you? He demanded. Samantha's smile vanished and her mouth fell open. No! She nearly yelled. It was funny that he was assuming things, but that one was too much. Well, at least right now it was, for her anyways. No, I'm not pregnant. But... She took another deep breath, Julius and I are getting married. She couldn't help but smile then. She held out her left hand and showed off her beautiful ring that promised their love. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Julius made sure to keep his face as calm and emotionless as possible. A little trick he had picked up in his more solitary times. As long as no one could tell what he was thinking, they'd probably be unable to pick up on his fear. Still, it could have been easier if he had been in his "true" form. Oh, how he wished he was a wolf right now. But no, here he was. Julius, the human. Julius, the fragile. Twisting up his own insides over what someone else thought. Quite the change from what he had once been. Alone, yes, but free. Free to come and go as he pleased. Still, this was all for Samantha. He had once promised to be human for her, and he still held himself to that regard. So, it was there he sat. He listened to her father accuse Sam of being pregnant. The idea of children seemed so distant. So far off. But pleasant. The idea of a family. Of love. It was...heartwarming, really. He had never seen himself as much of the paternal figure. Yet with Samantha now by his side, it felt so oddly right. So, he savored the thought. These thoughts faded, however, when Samantha finally admitted the truth. To Julius' own shock, he wasn't nervous. These thoughts of parenthood and a life with the woman he loved, they only seemed to elated his spirit. To fill his soul to the brim with happyness. And for that, he couldn't help but smile along with Samantha...

A small smile played on Natasha's lips at the sudden spurt from Samantha's father. She resisted the urge to laugh with her dear sister's reaction. She knew she probably shouldn't want to laugh, but it amused her at the moment. She most likely would have done the same thing if her father had stuck around. A grim expression painted Natasha's face as she thought about her father. Until about a month ago she thought he had vanished from the face of the earth. She had mixed emotions building in her heart over him still. She desired to love him, but also had this utter hatred that filled her heart.
Her eyes had dropped to the floor and she noticed that she'd missed Julius' reaction. Her eyes wandered back up to the couple and she smiled sweetly again and couldn't help but see the resemblance of pure happiness in their expressions. A sense of happiness came to herself while watching the two. It was such a sweet and strong love that was still yet new. A type of love she still shared within the marriage of Seth and herself.
She exchanged a glance with Samantha that meant that she had all the support she could possibly get from Natasha. She wouldn't miss this for anything. Her head turned to look at Samantha's father. Thoughts of what might be going through her head even started to make herself anxious because he was taking too much time.

Anxiety was starting to crush down on Samantha. She happened to catch Natasha's reaction to her father's accusation out of the corner of her eye and she too resisted the urge to laugh. And that held back laugh helped her a lot. Her father was taking his time, and Samantha's gaze remained locked on him. The second she told everyone, she saw a spark of pure happiness and joy for her, but then it was replaced by a mask. She couldn't tell what he was thinking, if he was thinking anything at all. Samantha bit her lower lip and waited. She could see her dad thinking of what to say, and so far it looked okay. She squeezed Julius' hand and bit down harder on her lip. The silence was too much, and it was threatening to overwhelm her.
Finally, her father allowed a smile to creep across his weathered face. Is that so? He asked quietly, and Samantha knew the shock was still effecting him. She nodded quietly, scared of what he was going to say next. She watched him as he stepped forward slowly. He spread his arms and stepped closer to her. Samantha gave Julius' hand another squeeze and then let him go, walking into her dad's embrace with a sigh. He had accepted! Congratulations you two! I'm very happy for you! He said and Samantha could hear the emotion there. She knew he would have a talk with her later after everyone left, and she actually didn't mind. She hugged her dad back, looking over his shoulder at her best friend and flashing her a completely elated smile.
