Julius slipped through the woods like a knife. Each step was bringing him closer to home. Home. The word really made him think. A year ago, he had no home. No connections to the so called "real world". But now, now he found himself drawn back to the same thing everytime. Samantha. Oh, how he missed her. Even now, he felt as though his body was on autopilot, leading him right to her. His four paws carried him as fast as they could. It had been too long for him, after all. Sure, he usually would leave when society got to be too much for him. But that was always a few weeks. This time, his adventures had taken place over the span of two months. For two months, Julius found himself venturing deeper and deeper into any source of woodland he could find. In truth, he had probably hit Canada at some point. He didn't even know why he had done it. Perhaps to prove to himself that he was still the wild animal he once was. Yet, he wasn't. Oh, how he missed Samantha so. She was all he could ever think about. And through his travels, it was her his heart called out too. Even then, her house in view, he could feel it yearning for her. He slowed to a halt before he transformed. He hadn't been a human for sometime, but he quickly fell back into the idea. With great dexterity, he though his trenchcoat over his shoulders and cinched it at the waist. It covered everything, and would have to do for the time being. After all, he never brought any other clothes with him when he ventured off. Quickly, yet with a certain carefulness in his newly regained human form, he climbed the tree that grew outside her room. Grabbing a handful of pebbles from his pocket, he gingerly tossed them against the window...

Samantha sat in her bedroom, reading a random book. She was hardly paying attention at all. She hadn't been paying attention to anything for nearly two months. Every time she thought of him, she fell into a mild depression. Sam missed Julius so much... Her father was starting to get a little worried about her, and when he asked, Samantha just told him he was on a trip with school. Not that Julius attended any school, but her father would be dying to know why he was gone for so long.
Without Julius, Samantha's life was dull and lifeless. Sure, Natasha was there for a hug and a fun sleepover, but it always felt like a part of her was missing. With a tired sigh, Sam turned the page of the book, skimming over the page. What am I reading? She thought as she turned her hand to see the cover. Chasing Midnight. A Harlequin romance. She glanced at the clock next to her and released another sigh. 10:30 pm. She let the book close as she stood and went to her bed to retrieve her pajamas. She changed quickly, eagerly waiting for sleep. She quickly slipped down the stairs to say goodnight to her father and climbed back up to her room. Flipping off the light, Sam welcomed the darkness. She climbed into bed, drawing the covers over her body and snuggling deep down into her mattress.
Ping! Ping! Ping! The small sound against her window made Samantha jump. She sat up and looked towards her window, a little scared. She cautiously got out of bed and walked to the window. A large, dark shape made her breath catch. Who am I kidding? I'm a werewolf; I can claw this guy's eyes out. She gripped the bottom of the window and pulled up, a soft night air drifting into her room. A very familiar face smiled at her and her heart melted.
Julius.
Oh! She exclaimed, clearly surprised. She leaned out and wrapped her thin arms around his neck. Oh, Julius! I've missed you so much! She sighed into his neck. Those last two months disappeared right then, leaving her with just this moment of a sweet reunion.

Julius smiled as Samantha sighed contently into his neck. Oh, how he had missed her. It had just been so long since he had seen her. Since he held her. Now, none of the pain he had felt really mattered anymore. That empty since of loneliness melted away as they held each other. He leaned in and kissed her, over and over and over again. Some nights, he felt so empty without her. But now, he was back with her, and every kiss seemed to bring them closer together. Time slipped away for a moment, before the two finally broke apart. He shook his head a bit, realizing just how shaggy his hair had gotten. He'd have to cut it again; long hair just seemed out of place in this world. Gently, Julius placed his hand on her arm before he spoke.
"Oh, Samantha, you have no idea how much I missed you. I couldn't take it. Everywhere I went, all I could think of was you. All I wanted was you."
It was true. The very thought of Samantha had wound itself so tightly to Julius that he would never stop loving her. He'd never stop needing her. Deep down, he knew he had imprinted on her. Of course, he didn't mind. All he really wanted to do was spend his time with his beloved Samantha...

Oh, Samantha missed those kisses! She was having a perfect Disney Movie moment. She never wanted to leave, she didn't care if her dad walked in right that moment. All she wanted and needed was right there in her arms. She returned each of his kisses with as much passion as she was capable of. When Julius pulled away, She hid her frown, but his confession made her beam. She kissed him once more before looking down with a blush.
"Julius, you're the only one I want and will ever want. You have no idea how m-" She stopped, realizing she was repeating Julius's words. "Never leave me for that long again." She sighed as she hugged him again. She knew he would have to go again, but hopefully it wouldn't have to be two months. It killed her.
She pulled away and took in his shaggy hair and smiled. Time for another haircut. It was too late now, but tomorrow she was determined to get him all cut and shaven. What was she thinking? She didn't care how he looked, she loved him just the way he was. Sam looked behind her at her half closed door and cringed. What if her father had heard them? She turned back to Julius and noted how he was looking at her. He made her feel beautiful when he looked at her like that. She shrugged the thought off and took his hand. "Why don't you come in?" She asked, and practically dragged him into her room. Then she ran to the door and closed it all the way, locking it securely as well. Then she ran back to Julius and hugged him once more, never ever wanting to let go.

Julius felt himself starring at Samantha with a sort of reckless abandon. He loved every inch of her. To him, she was just so perfect. Only when she took him by the hand did he stop, before returning once more to admire her beauty. As the two embraced, he could swear he felt time slow to a halt. He didn't mind either. Since he had left the woods, all his new memories and happy thoughts; they all seemed to involve the stunning girl in his arms. He ran his hand along the curve of her face, basking in the moment, before leaning down to kiss her. They seemed to have been doing alot of that in the past few moments. Not to mention, the idea that the two were alone in Samantha's room had not slipped his young mind. Part of him wanted to push things further. He did love her, after all. More than that...she was his world. His reason to be and the only person he would ever need by his side. But she had always seemed hesitant, and he felt no need to push her. He would wait, forever if he had to. He'd do anything for her... Slowly, he shifted one hand to the small of her back, before taking her hand in the other and starring into her eyes...
"I love you, Samantha..."

Time was frozen for the young werewolf. Samantha was enjoying every moment of it as well. Julius was her life, her world. He was her sun, the one she turned to when she was sad and down. Even when she was happy and loving life. Each of his kisses seemed to bring her to life over and over again. Here, wrapped in Julius's arms, Samantha didn't care about anything else. His hand curved along her face and Sam blushed. Then his hand moved to the small of her back and his other one took her hand and his eyes met hers.
She couldn't help it; Sam reached up and kissed him once more, allowing herself to get a little carried away. Who cares? She asked herself. Her door was closed, and locked for that matter. Her father was downstairs watching the football game, and Sam could hear it from where she was standing. There was nothing stopping them from taking it further. She knew Julius would be eager to try it, and so was she. So why not? She stepped back slowly, getting closer to her bed, and pulled Julius along with her, not breaking the kiss. With her free hand, she carefully found the cinch that tied his trench coat together.
She loosened it, but not enough for it to fall open. She would give him a say in the matter. If he wanted to, he could refuse. But lord knew Sam didn't want him to. If he said no, Sam would try to not let it get to her. She stopped herself from frowning as she pushed back those thoughts. She concentrated on his kiss, and what it meant to her.

Inside, Julius beamed. So he wasn't crazy. She wanted this to. This fiery urge to be as much a part of each other as the could be. Oh, how he wanted her so badly. He'd never felt this way before. About anyone. And he knew that there was almost no way to deny such emotions. Such desires. It was as his hand slipped over her thigh, however, that his love for her caught up with him. Slowly, feeling the pain of coming to his senses, he stopped. He took a moment for himself, staring deeper and deeper into the eyes of the girl who lay beneath him. This girl that he loved so much. He closed his eyes before gently resting his head against hers, letting out a shallow sigh. The moment gone, he turned to sit beside her, still clutching her hand before he spoke. "Believe me Samantha. Believe me when I say that there is nothing I'd like to do more than make love to you." Even then, such words seemed like an understatement to Julius. "But I realize now that I love you far too much for our first time to be like this. When it does happen, I guarantee it will be the most romantic event we've ever known. Until then, I think we should wait a bit..."

So this was it. They were really going to do it. Desire burned behind every inch of her skin and came out as passion every time she kissed him. Julius's hand slid over her thigh, sending a tremor through Samantha. Oh she wanted this so badly! Julius was all hers and she desperately longed to take advantage of that. Her hand forgot about the cinch at his waist, and traveled up the length of his chest and around his neck.
Then he stopped. His head leaned against hers for a second, and then he sat up, still holding her hand. She listened to his words, a frown forming on her face. No? Not yet? But why...? She sat up next to him, gave his hands a squeeze and looked over at him with a confused expression. She swallowed hard and looked down. They were almost there...
Samantha leaned her head against his shoulder and sighed. "So..." She started, her voice sounding very loud in the growing silence. "When... um... why shouldn't our first time be like this?" Sam was confused, and it almost made her smile. She felt as if the answer was blatantly obvious, but she couldn't figure it out. Sam looked up at him and her sapphire eyes locked on his and she sighed. Oh those eyes! Those eyes captivated her from the beginning. They were the reason she had really stuck around. There was something there that seemed to call her to him when they first met.

Julius shook his head for a moment, as if to clear all the despair and confusion from his mind, before turning back to Samantha. God, how could he be so foolish. Chances like this didn't pop up all the time. Not to mention, she appeared to want this as much as he did. She wasn't really having much luck hiding that. Yet, somehow, he still turned his back on the chance. It took some effort, but he quickly cleared his throat and spoke.
"Because, what we have...well, it's beyond special. I've never felt this kind of love before, for anyone. Which is why the moment just doesn't seem right. I mean, your dad's downstairs and could come up here at any minute. It just doesn't feel like the right moment for the two of us."
Julius turned away. Deep down, he knew it was true. He wasn't going to rush anything for this girl. Everything, every last detail, would be perfect. Anything for Samantha. Besides, there was still the matter of the ring in his pocket. He'd wait for the right time for that as well. Soon enough, when he got the chance, he'd ask Samantha to marry him. Until then, however, he would wait. He could at least do that much...

A frown took over Samantha's features as she listened to his answer. They looked away at the same time, and it almost made Sam smile. But she held back as she glowered at the quilt laying on her bed. She disagreed with his opinion on having it be the wrong time. It was the perfect time, according to Sam. Door locked, TV blaring, he just came back after two months. Why not? Apparently he wasn't going to give in tonight. Not letting go of his hand, she brought her legs up and folded them, sitting Indian style. One question in particular was bugging her. When would the right time be?
There was no light at the end of the tunnel right now. With a very quiet snarl, she planted her elbow on her leg and let her head sink into her upturned hand. Her aqua eyes glanced at him quickly, and she could see the effort it took for him to say no. It was very clear that he wanted this as much as her. Her eyes flew back to the quilt and she allowed a sigh to escape her lips.
Samantha glanced up at Julius again, trying not to be so disappointed. She was actually starting to see his point. A little. A small sliver of hope still existed tonight. "Can you at least stay here tonight? The door's locked... And I'm afraid that if you leave I'll go mad with anxiety." She asked, throwing in a confession. With a prayer, she closed her eyes and waited for the worst.

It was killing Julius to be the one against all this. He wanted nothing more in this world than to make love to the girl sitting before him. She was is everything. But Julius was a romantic, and somehow, the setting just didn't seem right to him. He smiled when she asked if he'd stay the night. The hope in her voice was unmistakeable. Thankfully, this was one request he could grant her.
"Of course", he said, smile gleaming in the dark of the room. "Of course I'll spend the night here."
He had been away from Samantha for far too long to do anything else. Right now, all he wanted was her company. To spend the night with her. To spend a lifetime with her... He gently slipped his other hand around her before leaning in to kiss her. This one more solemn than the others. He knew it was impossible, but he felt like he had to convey every thought in his head through that kiss. Every emotion. Every burning desire he had for her. And like there first kiss, time seemed to stop for a moment. When they finally broke apart, he gazed into her eyes for a moment before speaking.
"I love you, Samantha, and I will ALWAYS be here for you...

Samantha beamed when he agreed to stay the night. She didn't mind that they wouldn't be sleeping together anymore. She would be content just to have him there. When his other hand wrapped around her, she leaned forward and met his lips eagerly, returning his kiss with every fiber in her body. She loved him, and always would. Nothing would be able to separate her from him. She knew she had imprinted on Julius, and she didn't care. She wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, no matter how long that would be.
When he pulled away and stared into her eyes, she felt her face heat up, just like every other time he looked at her. She loved the way he looked at her. His eyes were so full of emotion that Samantha sometimes had to look away. "I love you, Samantha, and I will ALWAYS be here for you..."
Sam believed it. She couldn't not believe it. I love you too, Julius. She whispered in return. She leaned in and kissed him once more before she let him go and stood up. She crept to the bedroom door and double-checked the lock. Didn't budge. Good. She spun on her heel and nearly jumped into Julius's arms. She snuggled into his side, refusing to move unless he wanted her too. She could have fallen asleep like that, but she wanted to spend every moment possible with him. Awake that was. With a content sigh, she closed her eyes and snuggled even deeper into his side
